The 2020 "Cornersville Lights Up Christmas" Contest

On behalf of Mayor John Luna, our Board members, and the employees of the Town of Cornersville, let me say that we are very pleased with the participation in our contest this year. Due to the situations with COVID-19, our normal lives seem to be upside down at times. This year, our elected officials decided to host a Christmas decorating contest to help put some extra cheer in our hearts and smiles on our faces. We had 17 homes to participate in our contest, each putting their own spin on decorating ideas. We had two categories that participants could choose - Most Traditional and Most Creative. This year's winners will receive $100, a plaque recognizing their accomplishment and there will also be a large sign placed in their yard. As you drive by and see those signs, please reach out to those individuals and congratulate them. Also, we have many other homes to decorate this year; probably more than I can ever remember. I would encourage everyone to pass on some positive feedback to all those homeowners as well. Cornersville is truly lit up!!

I would like to say thank you to Wendy Ridley for sharing her time with us to design our contest flyer and for creating an interactive map of those homes that were registered.

I would like to say a special thank you to Mayor Mike Keny and his wife Cheryl for taking the time to be our Judges. It truly was a very difficult decision.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and fruitful New Year!
